Funeral service for Mary Ann Allen, age 76, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2012, at the First Baptist Missionary Church with Rev. Lloyd L. Logan and Pastor Ricky Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen passed from this life on Saturday morning, November 17, 2012, in a Lawton Hospital.

Mary Ann Allen was born on March 25, 1936, in Caldwell, Texas to Richard Evans and Mary Williams Shaw. She attended Kennedy Elementary and Boyd High School in Frederick before transferring to Wichita Falls, Texas where she attended Booker T. Washington School. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Ethel ÒNeal Brown. She later married Willie B. Allen in October of 1954, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2004. She worked for Southwest Enterprise Service in Altus and was a Habilitation Training Specialist for the State of Oklahoma for more than 24 years as a caregiver for Willie Faye and Rocky Jensen. She was a 30-year member of the Vester Gene Chapter #28, Order of the Eastern Star, the NAACP and had delivered Meals on Wheels to the Frederick community for many years. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Missionary Church, where she served in various capacities over the years including the Memorial Service Committee, Kitchen Committee, former president of the choir and the Priscilla Circle. Mary Ann loved traveling, shopping and going to garage sales. She was a giving person, whether to her church, her pastor, her job or family.

She is survived by five sons, Charles Brown and wife Valerie of Norman, Jimmy Allen and wife Nita of Vernon, Texas, Terry Shaw of Lawton, Ricky Shaw and wife Rhonda of San Antonio, Texas and David Allen and wife Renee of Houston, Texas; four daughters, Kimlan Lee of Frederick, Shirley Goynes and husband Danny of Greenville, Texas, Cleta Souffrant and husband Johnnie of Frederick and Reta Osbourne and husband Norberto of Lawton; two brothers, J. D. Shaw and Charles Shaw both of Frederick; a sister-in-law, Betty Shaw of Los Angeles, California; a special niece, Lola Carthon of Desoto, Texas; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, the late Willie Faye Jensen, Rocky Jansen, Julie Gaitan, LeLear Johnson, Elsie Smith and the Johnson Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two sons, Jerald and Eric Shaw; four brothers, James, John, Dommond and Hayward Shaw; one great-great-grandson.
