Funeral service for Alford Lee Cathey, age 64, of Frederick will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 at First Baptist Missionary Church, 400 S. First, Frederick, Oklahoma with Rev. Lloyd Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Cathey passed away on Thursday December 13, 2018 in a Lawton hospital.

Alford Lee Cathey was born on April 24, 1954 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Andrew Lee and Lorine (Johnson) Cathey. He attended Frederick Public Schools. He worked as a truck driver for Atlas Concrete for many years. He was married to Cecila Hawkins on July 2, 1982. She preceded him in death on July 10, 1997. He and Lisa Baygents have lived as husband and wife since April 2003. He loved playing dominos and watching Dallas Cowboy football. He enjoyed Christmas and hanging Christmas lights. Family was important to him and he loved spending time with them. He was a member of the First Baptist Missionary Church in Frederick.

He is survived by his wife Lisa of the home; three sons, Calvin Hawkins of Oklahoma City, Ok, Alfred Cathey of Oklahoma City, Ok and Alfrod Cathey of the home Ok; four daughters, Tamu Cathey of Liberal, Kansas, Nicole Hawkins, Lennetta Hawkins and Charlene Hawkins all of Oklahoma City; one step-son, Keith Green Jr. of Frederick, three step-daughters, Keineshia Green of Austin, Texas, Kaegan Green of Lafeyette, Louisiana and Sierra Powell of Montgomery, Alabama; two sisters, Sandra McCoy of Frederick, Ok and Lillie Cathey of Frederick, Ok; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharla Cathey; one brother, Charles Lynn Cathey; four sisters, Kathy Jean Nolan, Birtha Lee Smith, Shirley McKay Cathey and Katherine Lamitta Cathey.
