Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Hatcher passed away on Friday morning, January 4, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Nursing Center.

Alma Ruth Crow Hatcher was born Oct. 3, 1926, northwest of Manitou to her parents Francis and Winnie Pope Crow. She married Joyce Hatcher Jan. 24, 1942, in Fairview, Okla. Joyce served in the United States Army during World War II. Alma lived in California until the war was over, and in 1946, she and her family moved back to Oklahoma to live in the Tipton area where she became a farm wife.

In 1963, Alma began working outside the home at the Betsy Bra Company where she sewed. In 1990, she finished her sewing career at Kellwood's in Altus, Okla. She stayed on the farm until 2015 when a tornado took part of the home's roof. She then moved to a small apartment in Tipton until she was unable to live on her own and moved to the Frederick Memorial Nursing Center in December 2017. Alma is memorialized by the hundreds of last names and first names she lovingly crocheted for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends and acquaintances. Alma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail Hatcher Patterson of Manitou and Rita Hatcher Bureman and husband Mike of Las Cruces, N.M.; four grandchildren, Jeff and wife Dana Patterson of Frederick, Rex and wife Jocelyn Patterson of Edmond, Kim and husband Chad Stone of Runaway Bay, Texas, and Kevin Bureman of Morrison, Colo.; seven great-grandchildren, Kaley and Karley Patterson both of Lawton, Lauren and husband Hayden McCabe and Alex Patterson all of Edmond, Lindsay and Lance Stone both of Runaway Bay, Texas, and Sofia Bureman of Morrison, Colo; and two sisters-in-law, Shirlie Crow of Vallejo, Cali. and Carolyne Hatcher Simms of Perryton, Texas.
