Graveside service for former Manitou resident, Ann (Howell) Schrick, age 76, of San Antonio, Texas, will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Manitou Cemetery, with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Schrick passed away Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas.
Stella Ann Howell was born January 25, 1945, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Clifford Clyde and Marjorie Olive (Arnall) Howell. She attended Manitou Public Schools, later transferring to Weaver Consolidated #13, graduating with the Class of 1963. In June of 1963, she was united in marriage to John Fred Schrick at her brother and sister-in-law's home, Choppy and Jean Howell. She worked for several banks prior to her civil service carrier as an Operations Administrator at Kelly Air Force Base, where she retired. Ann was an excellent baker; she always made delicious cookies, cinnamon rolls, and bread when her family would come to visit. She was also an outstanding seamstress and loved to embroidery and do needlework. She was a devote Baptist and a true Christian Lady.
Ann is survived by her husband of 58 years, Johnny Schrick of the home; two sisters, Peggy Burrow of Sherman, Texas and Bobby Amyx of Little Rock, Arkansas; thirteen nieces and nephews, Vicki Dickson and her husband Mike, Scott Burrow, Barbara Cline and her husband Rodger, Leon Howell and his wife Kathy, Rusty Howell and his wife Donna, Carla Loveday and her husband Randy, Jeff Howell, Rebecca Nielsen, Benni Colleen Howell, Thomas Howell and his wife Jennifer, Banjo Howell and his wife Jona, Patty Hill and Eddie Hill; and numerous great-nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Marjorie Howell; four brothers, Lonnie Howell, Choppy Howell, Colin Howell, and Clyde Howell; one sister, Marie Almeda Hill; and one niece, Carol Ann.
