Funeral service for Barbara Earl Taylor age 73 of Vernon, Texas will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick with Rev. Michael Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. A wake service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening, December 28, 2018, at the Wood Street Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas. Ms. Taylor passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Barbara Earl (Cruse) Taylor was born January 16, 1945, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Alvin and Erma Lee (Weakley) Cruse. She attended Kennedy Elementary in Frederick, Oklahoma. Barbara Earl and James Taylor were united in marriage at Huntsville, Texas. She worked at Burlington Pants Factory in Vernon, Texas and later as a caregiver for many years. She was a former member of the Church of the Living God, Temple 219 of Frederick, Oklahoma; and was presently a member of the Wood Street Baptist Church in Vernon, Texas.

he is survived by her husband, James Taylor; four daughters, Caroline Stone of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Olivette Shively and her companion Clyde Harris of Lawton, Oklahoma, Tracy Swan and her husband Sammie of Vernon, Texas, and Youlanda Mosley of Lawton, Oklahoma; one son, Tyrone Taylor of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Janice Cruse Hightower and her husband Elvis of Round Rock, Texas, Lita Cruse Jackson and her husband James of Atlanta, Georgia and Patricia Cruse Williams of Dallas, Texas; and a special friend, Billy Taylor of Vernon, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Douglas Cruse and George Cruse; one sister, Jamie Parker; one grandson, Patrick Cruse; and one great-granddaughter, Taylor Makalynn Cruse.
