Memorial service for Betty Ann Poe, age 85, of Snyder, Oklahoma, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, 923 E Street, Snyder, Oklahoma, with Landon Warren officiating. Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.
Betty Ann Poe (Ham), age 85, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Denton, Texas. Born on January 25, 1940, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, Betty lived a life marked by resilience, tenacity, faith, and fierce love for her family.
Throughout her life, Betty faced many trials and heartaches with unwavering strength. Though she was not one to speak openly about her faith, it was the quiet foundation that carried her through life's challenges. A God-fearing woman at heart, she kept the Serenity Prayer and the Ten Cowboy Commandments close by symbols of the values that guided her every day.
Betty was known for her unfiltered honesty and unmistakable sass. She was a straight shooter who never hesitated to speak her mind. Yet beneath that tough exterior was a heart overflowing with love—especially for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She often said she had been given a second chance with them—a chance to do things differently—and she embraced it fully. Her bond with them was deep and enduring.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Speigel; granddaughters Kimberly Sheets, Chrystal Bartlett, Kelly Bartlett, Shannon Judge, and Kiley Tyler; and great-grandchildren Isaiah Sheets, Aden Sheets, Donny Shelton, Aindrea Como, Guythana Fertitta, Dalton Judge, Dean Judge, Deanna Tyler, and Carrie Stanford.
Betty was preceded in death by Rodney Speigel; Daniel Bartlett; Karen Hall; Jim Bartlett; her parents Wauneta Bartlett and James Ham; several siblings; and three husbands.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her—especially the generations she helped raise with love and grit. May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her presence.
