Funeral service for Billie Jean Turner, age 74, of Davidson will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Suiter officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Turner passed away on April 4, 2015 in a care facility in Frederick. Billie Jean Davis Turner was born on March 19, 1941 in Grandfield, Oklahoma to Sim Morris and Verbie Ellen (Edwards) Davis. She attended Grandfield Public Schools. Billie had worked as a self-employed truck driver before she and her sister ran the Korner Kitchen in Davidson for several years. Later on she worked as the manager of the Hop-n-Sack in Davidson prior to her retirement. Billie is survived by one daughter, Debra Joslin of Davidson; five grandchildren, Derrick English and wife Jodi, Judith Joslin, Michele Ballard, Pegan Corrales and Erin Turner; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
