Word has been received of the death of Billy Joe Edwards age 77, of Frederick, Oklahoma.  Mr. Edwards passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at his home.  There are no services planned at this time.

Billy Joe Edwards was born on January 9, 1943, in Frederick, Oklahoma to William Joseph and Mildred (Rippee) Edwards.  He attended Frederick Public Schools, graduating from Frederick High School in 1960.  On June 17, 1965, he and Frances P. Doze were united in marriage in Quanah, Texas.   He worked at Metzeler/Henniges Automotive as a forklift operator for many years.  He retired in May of 2018.  Billy's family was very important to him; he loved being outside and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by a daughter, Betty Halbert and her husband Charles of Healdton, Oklahoma;  two grandchildren, Angela Arnold of Plano, Texas and Cari Haun and her husband Larry of Longview, Texas; one great-grandson, Michael Arnold of Frederick, Oklahoma; and one brother, Ronnie Edwards and his wife Jane of Clarendon, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Frances Edwards.
