Funeral service for Billy D. Rushin age 85, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at the Restoration Church, 1920 N. 15 ^th Street, Frederick, Oklahoma with Rev. Marty Sheffield officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery, under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Rushin passed away October 16, 2020, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Billy Dale Rushin was born January 10, 1935, in Winkler, Texas to George David and Velma Marie (Bowerman) Rushin.  He attended Victory Consolidated #11 School, east of Davidson, Oklahoma.  On July 23, 1956, he and Dorothy Juanita Sheffield were united in marriage in Vernon, Texas.  Billy loved his Lord and was the pastor of a full gospel mission for many years.  He also owned and operated Rushin Paint and Drywall.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.  Billy loved to set around and play his guitar with his family and friends.  Music was his life!

He is survived by the love of his life of 64 years, Dorothy Rushin of the home; his children, Mary Reed and her husband Brett of Lawton, Oklahoma, Betty Cryer of Tipton, Oklahoma, Marie Everhart and her husband J. of Frederick, Oklahoma, Billy Don Rushin of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Rodney Rushin and his wife Kimberly of Frederick, Oklahoma; one sister, Nancy Villarreal of Silverton, Texas;  twenty-four grandchildren, Trey Gaines and his wife Elizabeth, Heather Duncan and her husband Chris, Jennifer Clark and her husband David, Morgan Albrecht, Heath Cryer and his wife Michelle, Dusty Cryer and his wife Lisa, Brock Cryer and his wife Chelsie, Sean Cryer and his wife Ashley, Lance Whitson and his wife Crystal, Haley Tucker and her husband Michael, Greg Defoor and his wife Amanda, Jared Rushin, Amberleigh Muehlebach and her husband Peter, Nathan Rushin and his companion Meagan Taylor, Ryan Rushin, B.J. Reed and his wife Rebekah, Gina Muse and her husband Keith, Rebecca Vargas, Zack Hutto and his wife Star, Jake Everhart, Jon Everhart, Kelsey Carrico, Phillip Defoor, and Shelby Shilling and her husband Robert; forty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Velma Rushin; one son-in-law, Kerry Cryer; one great-grandson, Draigen Turman; and ten brothers and two sisters.
