Graveside service for Billy Ray "Bill" Shrum, age 76 of Snyder will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Cache Cemetery with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Shrum passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in a Lawton hospital. Billy Ray Shrum was born on February 18, 1939 in Green Forest, Arkansas to Raymond and Pearl (McCreary) Shrum. He attended school in Green Forest. Bill then served in the United States Army. He and Mamie Sue Tidwell were married on November 15, 1986 in Cache, Oklahoma. He had owned and operated El Palacio Mexican Restaurant in Lawton and later Highway 62 Restaurant in Snyder. After his retirement, he and Sue owned and managed rental property. Bill enjoyed working and running heavy equipment. He also loved traveling in his motor home. His grandson, Seann was his pride and joy and was Bill's shadow everywhere he went. He was Baptist. He is survived by his wife Sue Tidwell Shrum of the home; three sons, John Tidwell, Jeff and Joseph Shrum; two daughters, Staci Shrum Filder and Kimberly Shrum Wood; one sister, Faye Ray; and six grandchildren, Seann Riley Tidwell, Madison and Mackenzie Estep, Hunter McClung, James and Abigail Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Tidwell; two brothers, Jim Shrum and Bob Bruce; and one sister, Lucille Ward. Jackson Funeral Home 923 W.
