Funeral service for Bobbie Jean Nicholson age 70, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Nicholson passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at her home.

Bobbie Jean (Smith) Nicholson was born September 20, 1945, in Temple, Texas to Robert and Velma Smith. She attended public school at San Benito, Texas where she graduated in 1962. On September 14, 1968, she and Gary Neil Nicholson were united in marriage in Frederick. She had worked at Centra Leather Goods and Frybrant Manufacturing Company for several years. Bobbie later attended the Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton where she received her Certified Nursing Assistance and Dietary Certification.   She began working at Winlan Oaks Nursing Home before transferring to the Memorial Hospital & Physician Group and Memorial Nursing Center where she worked as a CNA and had worked in the Dietary Department. Gary preceded her in death on June 7, 2008.

She is survived by her son, Gary Shawn Nicholson and his wife, Lori; her daughter, Krystal Deann Nicholson of Frederick; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul Wayne and Shirley Nicholson of Midwest City; four grandchildren, Felicia Nicholson of Yoakum, Texas, Ashley Simms Simien of Lawton, and Kelsie Conditt and Kyle Monroe both of Frederick; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Jordan Simien; one niece, Lisa Nicholson; one nephew, Scott Nicholson; three sisters, Pat Blue, Charlotte Loper and Pam Reynolds; and her aunt Irma, who she was extremely close to.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Neal Nicholson; her in-laws, Paul and Artie Nicholson; one grandson, Bobby Neal Nicholson; one nephew, Todd Nicholson; and one sister and two brothers, Barbara Ann, Billy and Jackie Smith.
