Obituary

Private family graveside service for Bobbie Jean Scheller, age 79, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mrs. Scheller passed away on Saturday morning, November 14, 2020, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.

Bobbie Jean (Johnson) Scheller was born on September 22, 1941, in Wilson, Oklahoma to Edgar Woolery and Martha Estell (Bates) Johnson.   She attended Frederick Public Schools.  While in school, she loved playing basketball.  She was united in marriage to Victor Augusta Scheller in 1959, in Lawton, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on March 28, 2005.  Bobbie worked as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service in Frederick for many years.   She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was an outstanding cook, an avid seamstress and enjoyed crocheting.  In her later years, she enjoyed watching football and working Word Find puzzles.  Bobbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frederick.

She is survived by one son, Randy Scheller of Frederick, Oklahoma; three daughters, Debbie Josefy and her husband Carl of Altus, Oklahoma, Sheila Scheller of Cache, Oklahoma  and Gayla Chester of Pampa, Texas; two sisters, Shirlie Dean of Frederick, Oklahoma and Patsy Tucker of Frederick, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Angela Payne and her husband Keith, Gary Scheller, Jr. and his wife Tiffany, Rachel Latimer and her husband Bucky, Brandi Phillips and her husband Josh, Jerry Hughes, Jr. and his wife Ashley, Cody Hughes and his wife Amy, Jason Carr and his wife Nicole, Jessica Carr,  Steton Chester, Travis Chester and his wife Kylee, and Lesley Casper and her husband Wyatt;  twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Estell Johnson; one daughter, Darla Scheller, one son, Gary Scheller; and two brothers, Eddie Johnson and Jerry Johnson.
