Funeral service for former Frederick resident Brenda June Renfro age 62, of Altus, Oklahoma will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, Oklahoma. Mrs. Renfro passed away Monday, October 21, 2019, in a Lawton hospital.

Brenda June (Watkins) Renfro was born September 3, 1957, in Clinton, Oklahoma to James D. and Corene V. (Graves) Watkins. She attended Davidson Public School, graduating from Davidson High School in 1975. On September 18, 1976, she and Jesse L. Renfro, Jr. were united in marriage in Davidson, Oklahoma. She worked as a cook for the Frederick Memorial Hospital for many years. Brenda loved traveling, camping, fishing and being outdoors; her grand babies were her pride and joy!

She is survived by her husband, Jesse L. Renfro, Jr. of the home; her mother, Corene Watkins of Chandler, Oklahoma; one daughter, Charis Curtis and her husband Chad of Cache, Oklahoma; one son, Jesse J. Renfro, Sr. and his wife Kristie of Altus, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Billy Curtis, Evelyn Curtis, Desiree Renfro, Abriana Renfro, Jesse J. Renfro, Jr., Brooklin Renfro, and Faith Renfro; two great-grandchildren, Aaron Curtis and Angelo Juarez; four sisters, Lorene Smith, Irene Burks, Sherry Smith, and Zora Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James D. Watkins; and one sister, Mary Strough.
