Funeral services for Carrie Hill, age 91, of Tipton, Oklahoma, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Tipton, 300 E. Davis, with Pastor Dwight Singleton, Mount Gilead Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tipton Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home.  Mrs. Hill passed away Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Willow Park Nursing Center, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Carrie Hill was born in Tipton, Oklahoma on July 21, 1934, to Virgie Prince and Jesse Johnson.  She was the tenth child out of eleven children and lived to be 91 years old.  Carrie married Claude Hill on January 17, 1951.  They were married until a tractor accident took his life in 1965.  To this union six children were born, Claude Hill, Jr., Johnny Hill, Carl Lee Hill, Donald Hill, Sanders Hill, Linda Seamster and in 1970 Tracy McAlister.

Carrie worked for many years as a private caregiver for many families in Tipton and Frederick, Oklahoma; she was very good at her job and loved taking care of her clients.  She was known for her red beans, chicken and dumplings, peach cobbler and 7 Up cakes.  Carrie enjoyed cooking, raising a garden and spending time with her family.  She loved riding around Tipton and going to Leggs Grocery where she talked and laughed with Nancy.  Carrie was loved by all her family even though she might tell you something you did not want to hear.  She had a sense of humor out of this world and touched lives that she didn't know she touch.

She is survived by her sister, Cleo Hampton of Duncan, Oklahoma; one son, Carl Lee and wife Ruby; two daughters, Linda and Tracy; fourteen grandchildren, six bonus grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, and thirty-three great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and a special friend, Mendy McBride.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude Hill; four son, Claude Jr., Johnny, Sanders, Donald (Red) Hill; and ten siblings, Levi Johnson, Loueva Stevenson, Arnetta Jones, Willie Mae Jackson, Jessie Faye Wright, Mella Dean Hill, Lorene Johnson, Sanders Hill and Lela Mae Johnson.
