Funeral service for Charles L. Davis, Jr., age 81, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018, at the Tipton Church of Christ with Joe Waugh officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Tishomingo City Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Davis passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in a Lawton hospital.

Charles L. Davis, Jr. was born on July 16, 1937, in Nida, Oklahoma to Charles Lafayette and Ruby Mildred (Draper) Davis. He attended Cobb Public School and graduated from Cobb High School in 1955. He then attended Murray State College where he received an Associate Degree in Agriculture in 1957. On April 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to Annetta Marie Deaton in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He worked at Townley Dairy in Oklahoma City right out of college. Charles later went to work at the Main Post Office in downtown Oklahoma City where he was a letter carrier for nine years. He received his real estate license in 1961 and worked as a realtor for several years. Mr. & Mrs. Davis moved to Tipton where they were employed at the Tipton Children's Home as house parents. Charles worked as a route truck driver, later the cafeteria manager and retired as Campus Director. He was a member of the Tipton Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Annetta Marie Davis of the home; two sons, Kenny Davis and his wife Pam of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Bobby Davis and his wife Pam of Moore, Oklahoma; four daughters, Deborah Dysart and her husband Vance of Tipton, Oklahoma., Sherri Murray and her husband Shawn of Yukon, Oklahoma, Terri Lacy and her husband Greg of Convoy, Ohio and Mary Radford and her husband Brian of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three brothers, James Davis, Harold "Mick" Davis and his wife Barbara and Alvin Davis and his wife Lawanda all of Durant, Oklahoma; one sister, Wan-Exa Reynolds and her husband David of Fort Worth, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Ray Davis, Erick Murray, Billy Davis, Keith Davis, Bryan Lacy, Shawna Echelle, Trent Davis, Meaghan Hinton, Christopher Cayton, Gabrielle Cayton, Larra Cayton, Heather Lacy and Erin Meyer; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mildred Sue Davis; and one sister-in-law, Loretta Davis.
