Memorial service for Charles Samuel Jewell, age 71, of rural Frederick will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Darrell McClanahan officiating. Mr. Jewell passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 in Norman. Charles Samuel Jewell was born on September 4, 1944 in Frederick to Claude Albert and Iris (Bradshaw) Jewell. He attended Tipton Public Schools and graduated from Tipton High School in 1963. He later attended Oklahoma University. On July 16, 1966, he and Carol Jean Shearer were united in marriage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed the outdoors and farming was his love. Charles served as an Elder for the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Vernon Congregation. He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; two sons, Charles Samuel Jewell, Jr. and wife Shawn of Healdton and Cameron Derek Jewell and wife Laura of Ardmore; one daughter, Candice Terry and husband Nathan of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Penny Wildman and husband Doug of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Ashley Well and husband Rickee, Amber Stout and husband Jeremy, Chase Jewell, Haillee Jewell, Emily Jewell, Cameron Derek Jewell, Jr. and Zavier Terry; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxxon Wells and Iris Stout.
