Obituary

Funeral service for Clemente Chavez Gutierrez age 69, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be at 8:30 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick with Chaplain Steven Gillispie, Elara Caring Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mr. Gutierrez passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at his home in Tipton.

Clemente Chavez Gutierrez was born on September 6, 1950, in Linn, Texas to Manual and Isidra (Chavez) Gutierrez.  He attended school in Linn, Texas. Clemente served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was united in marriage to Olga Rodriguez on November 23, 1970 in Edinburg, Texas.  He had farmed his entire life and had previously worked for Larry & Gail Kirk for many years.  He enjoyed hunting, gardening, building and carpentry work and loved to barbeque and spend time with his friends.  His family was his pride and joy.

He is survived by his wife Olga Gutierrez of the home; two sons, Clemente Gutierrez, Jr. and wife Angela of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Daniel Gutierrez of Edinburg, Texas; four daughters, Elma Nora Garcia and husband Baldemar, Jr. of Tipton, Oklahoma, Sandra Ann Garcia and husband Cesar of Sparta, Tennessee, Belinda Sue O'Neal and husband Christopher of San Antonio, Texas and Sheila Monette Williams and husband Toby  of Lawton, Oklahoma; four brothers, Manuel Gutierrez, Jr.  of Edinburg, Texas, Robert Gutierrez and wife Vicenta of LaBlanca, Texas, Carlos Gutierrez and wife Victoria of Edinburg, Texas, Jesus Javier Gutierrez and wife Vanessa of Linn, Texas; four sisters, Janie Villarreal and husband Cirilo of San Antonio, Texas, Rosa Delgado and husband Fernando of Edinburg, Texas, Maria Luisa and husband Ruben Alfaro, Sr. of Linn, Texas, and Guadalupe Alfaro of Linn, Texas; twenty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Norma Lamas.
