Pauletta Coleen Shaver May 31, 1954 – September 20, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pauletta Coleen Shaver, who entered her heavenly home on September 20, 2026, at the age of 72.

Coleen was born in Snyder, Oklahoma, on May 31, 1954. She graduated from Stockton High School in 1972, and worked as a hairdresser for many years, where she built lasting friendships with those she served. On September 14, 1979, she married the love of her life, Mark Shaver, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another and their family. Over the years Coleen had also worked at A1OK, Beams Discount Foods, United, SWOJC and Red River Transportation.

Coleen had a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a smile that could brighten any room. Her greatest joy was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love and guidance will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, faith, and unconditional love.

Coleen was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Geraldine Shelton; her beloved daughter, Heather Leigh Shaver; and her brothers, Ernest Virgil Shelton and Jeral Shelton.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Mark Shaver; her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Denton Ervin of Mountain Park, Oklahoma; her son and daughter-in-law, Kasey and Laney Shaver of Warner, Oklahoma; her brother, Vernon Shelton; and her four cherished grandchildren, Kaidon Ervin, Trenton Ervin, Sophia Johnson, and LJ Johnson. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Andrea Reece, Kelly Bartholic, Paige Raymond, Leigh Murphy, Sherri Shelton, Selena Shelton, and Vernon Shelton Jr., along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life

Saturday, October 17, 2026 1:00 PM Snyder Methodist Church

The service will include a welcome, obituary reading, musical selections of Amazing Grace and Go Rest High on That Mountain, memories shared by family and friends, words of encouragement, a slideshow celebrating Coleen's life, and fellowship in Walker Hall immediately following the service. Family and friends are warmly invited to stay.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, phone calls, messages, visits, and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. Your love and support have been a tremendous comfort.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Coleen is now at rest, reunited with those who have gone before her. Her love will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
