Funeral service for former Tillman County resident Danny M. Roberts age 72, of San Antonio, Texas will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick with Jimmie C. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Roberts passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas. Danny Morris Roberts was born February 9, 1942, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Oran C and Mattie Belle (Sanderson) Roberts. He attended Tipton Public School, graduating from Tipton High School in 1960. He later received a bachelor of science degree from Bethany University, Bethany, Kansas. He later served in the United States Navy. Danny had worked as operation manager for the civil service for many years. He was a avid O.U. Sooners Fan. He is survived by his son, Eric Roberts and wife Lisa of Helotes, Texas; two brothers, Meredith Roberts and his wife June of Magnolia, Texas and Philip Roberts and his wife Sue of Lee Summit, Missouri; two grandsons, Trevor and Tyler Roberts both of Helotes, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oran and Mattie Belle Roberts; and one sister, LaVetta Roberts.
