Funeral service for Darlene Baker, age 83, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Baker and Rev. Les Banks officiating.
Mrs. Baker passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Courtyards at Magnolia Creek, in Altus, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
Barbara "Darlene" Baker was born on August 20, 1942, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Milton and Lily Marie (Muse) Allen. She grew up in Frederick and attended Frederick schools. She graduated from Frederick High School with the Class of 1960. She was united in marriage to Dale Milo Baker on November 26, 1960, in Frederick. She worked as the Deputy Clerk at the Tillman County Clerk's Office for over 20 years. Darlene was involved and supported all the activities that her boys participated in, including baseball and FFA. She especially loved following and supporting her grandchildren in all their endeavors. After retirement, she and Dale enjoyed traveling. Branson was a favorite-trip destination. They also enjoyed going on cruises. She was a member of Martha Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Dale, of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; three sons: Kevin Baker and his wife Meri Kayla of Altus, Oklahoma, Keith Baker and his wife Becky of Altus, Oklahoma, and Kirk Baker and his wife Shea of Piedmont, Oklahoma; one brother, Richard Allen of Burleson, Texas; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Baker Stockett and her husband Clayton of Edmond, Jonathan Baker of Edmond, Kody Baker of Yukon, Ashlee Flores and her husband Ramiro of Princeton, Texas, Kory Baker and his wife Gabrielle of Piedmont, Kelsee Speed and her husband Kamron of Piedmont, Joshua Baker and his wife Havynn of Edmond, and Jordyn Baker of Altus; two great grandchildren: Caroline Stockett and Stella Stockett.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Martha Road Baptist Church, Youth Intern Memorial Scholarship, 20388 E County Road 158, Altus, OK 73521, in loving memory of Darlene Baker.
