Graveside service for David Lee Fulbright age 74, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Danny Brown officiating. Burial will follow with military honors under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Fulbright passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, at his home.
David Lee Fulbright was born June 14, 1943, at Fresno, California to William Leonard and Anna Lee (Gover) Fulbright. He attended and graduated from Frederick High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. After his discharge, he worked as a surveyor for Mobil Oil Company for many years; retiring in 1985. On December 19, 1981, David was united in marriage Juvetta Jo Cates in Frederick. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2015. He later was self-employed in the refrigeration business. In 1994, he began working for civil service at Reynold Army Hospital in the maintenance division. He retired in 2007. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, drag racing, and riding motorcycles with his friends. He was an active member of the Shortgrass Rangers, a Cowboy Action Shooting Group. He was known as "Smokey Dave" in the shooting club and also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by a brother, William Leonard "Sonny" Fulbright of Santee, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juvetta Fulbright; and two brothers, Larry and Ronny Fulbright.
