Word has been received of the death of David Scott Simpson, age 64, of Tipton, Oklahoma.  A graveside service will be held at a later date.  Mr. Simpson passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, from an accident in Tipton, Oklahoma.

David Scott Simpson was born October 22, 1955, in Bakersfield, California, to Jack Walton and Lahoma (Southern) Simpson. He attended Tipton Public Schools. He worked as a custom wheat harvester and also worked at the cotton gin.

He is survived by one daughter, Machell L. Oldham of Frederick, Oklahoma; one sister, Betty Carol Smith and her husband Allen of Anadarko, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Augustus Blackburn at Canadian, Oklahoma, Freedom Faye Berryman and her husband Brian of Wichita Falls, Texas,  and Lance Blackburn of Frederick, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Neal Johnson, Jr., Annabella Lavonne Berryman, and Juliette Marie Berryman all of Wichita Falls, Texas; two nieces, Erin Berry and her husband Tim of Mountain View, Oklahoma and Kristen Ford of Chickasha, Oklahoma; cousins, Randy & Nancy Hasley and their son, Travis and Gina Edwards; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lahoma Simpson; and one granddaughter, Angel Blackburn.
