Deloris June Fisher was born June 12, 1927 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Harry and Mary (Latham) Chappell. She attended school in Chattanooga where she graduated high school in 1945. She was united in marriage to Sollie Fisher on December 6, 1947 at the Holy City in the Wichita Mountains. He preceded her in death January 25, 1997. Mrs. Fisher began her career with the United States Postal Service as a clerk, advancing to rural mail carrier. She retired in 1998 as the Chattanooga Postmaster. She lived on the farm until she moved to town in 2000. She enjoyed her years of being a housewife and Sollie's "farm hand". She also enjoyed going to church, spending time with family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending Singing Churchmen concerts, watching Bill Gaither, David Phelps, and the Gaither Vocal Band and watching OKC Thunder basketball, OU football, and NASCAR racing. Deloris accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of the Chattanooga First Baptist Church where she served as pianist/organist for more than sixty years. She especially enjoyed playing duets with her daughter, Cheryl. She also enjoyed going to market in Dallas with Diana and Cheryl. In Deloris' younger days, she crocheted and made coconut cream pies just to "bless" people or to thank them for helping her. Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Brown and her husband Jack of Yukon, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, George Welborn of Lawton; three grandchildren Jeremy Welborn and his wife Gina, Cene' Burrow and her husband Stephen, and Kendi Starr; eight great-grandchildren, Matt Welborn, Jerah Welborn, Jadan Welborn, Rhyinn Welborn, Niley Welborn, Micaela Burrow, Gabriele Burrow and Connor Smith.
