Dick C. Dickerson

Dick Cloyce Dickerson, age 80, of Frederick, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday morning, August 30, 2026, at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.

He was born February 3, 1946, in Alva Oklahoma, to Jesse Dickerson and Estella (Spears) Dickerson. The Dickersons moved around frequently living for a time in Mojave, California. They finally settled in Tulia, Texas, when Dick was in the 4th grade. Dick left school after his junior year. He couldn’t wait to work and earn his own money. His working life began at Star Grain in Tulia Texas. He married the love of his life, Carol Lou Nall, in Amarillo Texas, on September 20, 1969. Dick began working at Levi Strauss and Carol worked at a dry cleaner.

Dick and Carol moved to Frederick, Oklahoma, in 1971, to work at Kellwood. Dick worked at Kellwood until 1976, when he became the assistant manager at Frybrant. Dick quickly became plant manager and remained there until the factory closed in 2004. Dick was a member of the Frederick Breakfast Optimists and the Chamber of Commerce. Dick was also a founder of Frederick’s first car club in the early 90’s.

Dick had many interests and hobbies including hunting, fishing, guns and old cars. He loved horror flicks and dogs. He even had a garage cat named Speedy who would sit on the fender while Dick worked on the engine.

Dick is preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, his sister Jan and a host of beloved dogs.

Dick is survived by his son Jeremy and his spouse, Greg, of Lawton Oklahoma; his daughter, Lindsey, of Chillicothe, Texas; his granddaughter, Estella, of Great Falls, Montana; his granddaughter, Lillian, of Wichita Falls, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Waylon and Winnie and our upcoming Kingston.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lynda Stewart and Val Perez. Your help will never be forgotten. And a very special thank you to the staff of Ayer’s Nursing Home. They loved him and enjoyed is ornery nature.
