Funeral service for Dionicio Garcia, Jr., age 70, of Lubbock, Texas will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.   Mr. Garcia passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, at the  University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Dionicio Garcia was born on May 3, 1950, in Rosebud, Texas to Dionicio and Mary (Valarda) Garcia.  He received a GED.  He was a construction worker.

He is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Garcia of Frederick and Mary Helen Garcia of Santee, South Carolina; one son, Benny Dean Garcia of Alice, Texas; his companion, Anita Rivera and her children Monica Garcia, David Garcia,  Belinda Vasquez and Mike Garcia and families; two brothers, Frank Garcia of Dallas, Texas and Billy Wayne Garcia of Frederick, Oklahoma; five sisters, Janie Leyja of Frederick, Oklahoma, Kathy Garza of Frederick, Oklahoma, Pauline Garcia of Altus, Oklahoma, Polina Arreguin of Altus, Oklahoma, and Helen Avila of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Adie Nicole Gutierrez, Jonathan "J.C" Vallejo and Gabriella Garcia; seven great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Delgado, Aydin Delgado, Milliana Soto, Ellie Soto, Alexis Garcia, Ryan Garcia and Esmeralda Garcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grand-daughter Andrea Marie Pando; five brothers, Pete, Felipe, Blas, Tony Garcia and Joe Garcia.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
