Funeral Service for Don W. Neugebauer age 75, of rural Indiahoma, Oklahoma will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma with Rev. Les Banks and Retired Colonel Scott Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Neugebauer passed away Monday, August 20, 2018, at a Lawton hospital.

Don W. Neugebauer was born May 26, 1943, to Julius Henry "Ulick" and Gracie Lavenia (Laing) Neugebauer. He grew up on the family farm south of Indiahoma. Don attended Indiahoma Public School, graduating from Indiahoma High School in 1961. He later attended Cameron Agriculture College. He was united in marriage to Sammie Ruth Moses on September 12, 1976, at the Holy City Chapel in the Wichita Mountains. To this union was born one son, Keith Alan. Don was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed working with his hands. He worked construction in Lawton and Oklahoma City for many years and was a lifelong farmer and cattleman. He served in the Army Reserve with the 95 ^th Training Division. He was very active in his community serving on the Indiahoma School Board and the Tillman County Rural Water District Board. He attended Peace Congregational Church for many years, serving as a trustee; then joining the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma where he served as Sunday School Superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Sammie Neugebauer of the home; his son, Keith Alan Neugebauer of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and his girlfriend, Brenda Brantley; a sister-in-law, Clara Neugebauer of Henrietta, Texas; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Gracie Neugebauer; one brother, Gerold Neugebauer; two sisters, Lavenia Schaffner and Linda Tramel; and three infant siblings.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday evening, August 22, 2018 at the funeral home in Frederick from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Indiahoma or the Indiahoma Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Don W. Neugebauer.
