Funeral service for Don Stone age 92, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2019, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lisa Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Stone passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Don Dail Stone was born May 14, 1927, in rural Davidson, Oklahoma to A.L. and Della Pearl (Miller) Stone. He attended Weaver Public School, graduating from Weaver High School in 1945. He later served in the United States Army in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. On December 19, 1964, he and Voye Lynne Wynn were united in marriage at Hollister, Oklahoma. Don farmed and ranched in Tillman County his entire life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Frederick.

He is survived by his wife, Voye Lynne Stone; two daughters, Melinda Phelps and her husband Brent of Fox, Oklahoma and Tari Espinosa and her husband Jimmy of Frederick, Oklahoma; one sister, Janet Fillmore of Davidson, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Morgan Phelps, Bree Phelps and Matti Espinosa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.L. and Della Stone; eight brothers, Basil Stone, Leo Stone, A.J. Stone, Bob Stone, Noel Stone, Revice Stone, Max Stone, and Gary Ronald Stone who died in infancy; and two sisters, Leah McHugh and Wynell Rosser.

Mr. Stone may be viewed on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tillman County Historical Society in memory of Don Stone.
