Funeral service for Dorothy Jean Wearmouth age 85, of Frederick, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Haverland, minister of the 13 ^th & Josephine Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Wearmouth passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder.

Dorothy Jean (Michel) Wearmouth was born April 19, 1934, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Alexander and Imogene (Morton) Michel. She attended school in Lincoln, Nebraska and at the age of twelve, she and her mother moved to Frederick to help care for an ailing aunt. She transferred to Frederick Public School and at the age of fourteen her mother passed away. Dorothy worked at the Crescent Drug Store for several years. On December 6, 1951, she and John Clyde Wearmouth were united in marriage at Frederick, Oklahoma. They were married for 23 years and to this union was born three children, Kim Ranell, John Randy and Shawna Michelle. She was a homemaker and was active in her children's life's. In 1972, Johnny and the family were transferred to San Antonio, Texas where Dorothy worked for 29 years as manager for Villa Del Sol Apartments/Condominiums in San Antonio. She later attended Real Estate School. After the death of her son Randy, she and Shawna returned to Frederick in 2004, to be close to family and friends. On August 17, 2005, Johnny preceded her in death. She was a member of the 13 ^th and Josephine Church of Christ. Dorothy was an avid Elvis Presley Fan and loved to watch and attend the San Antonio Spurs games. She and Shawna volunteered for many years at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Breakfast.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kim Wearmouth and Shawna Wearmouth both of Frederick, Oklahoma; one grandson, John Derrick Wearmouth of Cholula, Alabama; one sister, Tina Fraley Cosby of Ada, Oklahoma; one step-brother, Arnold Fraley of Frederick, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Randy Wearmouth who preceded her in death on September 14, 2003; four brothers, Al Albers, Terry Cobb, and two brothers who died in infancy; one step-sister, Judy Fraley Jones and one step-brother, Norman Fraley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton Children's Home in memory of Dorothy Jean Wearmouth.
