Graveside services for Douglas Wright "Doug" Wildman, age 83, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Wildman passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3931 Glade Valley Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339.

Douglas Wright Wildman was born on February 10, 1942 to Donald Herbert Wildman and Roberta Elizabeth Wright in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Mary Penelope (Penny) Wildman on May 6, 1977. They had one daughter, Tamra (TJ) Brayer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Roberta, as well as his wife, Penny, and brother-in-law, Charles. Doug is survived by their daughter, Tamra Brayer and her husband Jeff. He was blessed with five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Abigail Brayer, Miranda Klinner, Jeffrey Brayer, Ariel Brayer, Cameron Brayer, Brooke and Everest Brayer and Isabella Klinner as well as his nephew, Charles Jewell, Jr and his wife, Shawn, nephew Cameron Jewell and his wife, Laura, and niece Candice Pesina, and her husband, Phil and sister-in-law Carol Jewell.
Doug graduated from Will Rogers High School and attended Northeastern State University majoring in Secondary Education-History.
He enjoyed target shooting, playing the French horn and the piano. At one point while in college he was a rodeo clown for one summer. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling, including Yellowstone, Yosemite, most of the states of the union and several countries overseas. His last trip was a cruise to Alaska in 2024 with his daughter and son-in-law.
Doug joined Shell Oil Company in 1966 and had a long and varied career with them in Tulsa, Oklahoma and in Houston, Texas. Shell Oil transferred Doug & the family from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Houston, Texas in 1981. They lived in Kingwood, Texas from 1981 until 2017. The last eight years of his life he lived with his daughter and son-in-law.
Doug and his daughter TJ were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses together in Tulsa, Oklahoma in November 1978. He enjoyed attending Christian meetings, conventions and assemblies of Jehovah's Witnesses. Doug enjoyed the house to house ministry and was able to pioneer for one year and qualified to attend Pioneer Service School in 2022 with his son-in-law, Jeff. As a student of the Bible, his fondest wish was to enjoy the blessings of the promised Kingdom with his family (Matthew 6:33) and he enjoyed teaching others the benefits of the promised new earth.
Doug worked hard to become a spiritual man and was steadfast in his integrity through many health challenges. He is missed already but his family takes comfort in the resurrection hope as promised in Acts 24:15.
