Word has been received of the death of former Frederick resident, Elmer Ellis ""Fudd"" Minor, Jr., age 67, of Vandalia, Missouri. He passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at a later date. He was born November 15, 1946 in Louisiana, Missouri, the son of Elmer Ellis Minor, Sr. and Cecil Chandler Minor. He married Connie Dowell on March 6, 1971 in Trenton, Missouri. He attended the Clopton High School at Clarksville, Missouri. He was a veteran serving with the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a Deputy with the Tillman County Sheriff''s Department in Frederick, Oklahoma. He had also operated "Fudds BBQ" in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of Masonic Lodge 249 in Frederick, Oklahoma. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Connie of the home; two daughters; Michelle Vasquez and Eric of Independence, Missouri and Debra Reyes of the home, one son; Robert Minor and Tamara of Altus, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; Amber Garza and Kelby, Christopher Vasquez, Michael Minor and Kaycee, Tierra-Dawn Vasquez and Kati, Shane Minor and Sarah, Jacob Minor, Justin Minor, Connie Reyes and Kylie Minor; four great grandchildren; Elexia and Leah, Daphine and Matthew; one brother, James Henry and Don of Louisville, Kentucky; two sisters, Sarah Morgan and Al of Eolia, Missouri and Janet Coslet and Wayne of Sweet Springs, Missouri; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and one special uncle, Sammy Chandler and wife, Cora Lee of Curryville, Missouri.
