Obituary

Celebration of Life for Elvis Ray Danna, age 61, of Tipton, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Hanna Gymnasium Activity Center, 1000 South Broadway, Tipton, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Tipton Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Danna was found deceased at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Elvis Ray Danna was born on December 18, 1963, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Floraetta Danna and Jackie Elwood Stevenson. He attended Tipton Public School.  He was active in the Junior High and Senior High School Plays; he played Football for the Tipton Tigers, and was voted THS Most Dependable, and Friendly Student; Elvis enjoyed singing and playing the piano and was a friend to everyone. He graduated from Tipton High School with the Class of 1982.  He attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, later transferring to Cameron University in Lawton, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education.

Elvis worked for Gibson's Discount Center in Frederick and was well known for his kind heart and friendly demeanor. He would have customers standing in his checkout line, just to be taken care of with a friendly face. He transferred to Southwest Juvenile Center in Manitou as a Juvenile Specialist; he worked for the State of Oklahoma for over twenty years before they closed.  He was presently working as a Teacher's Aide for Tipton Public School System at the time of his death.

Elvis loved spending time with family and friends.  He loved people in general and was well known for his "Deep Belly Laugh". He was a true gentleman and left a bigger mark on the world than he ever realized. Elvis had a Gift of Giving and showed us how to "Live and Love like Jesus"!

He loved Sports Spectating, Metal Detecting, Singing, was an Outstanding Cook, enjoyed going to Estate Sales and collecting Crystal Pieces, Gardening, was a Big Supporter of the Kids at Tipton Public Schools; and was very active part of the Tillman County Food Bank.  He was a faithful and loyal member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church; where he served as Trustee, Caretaker of the Church, Chairman over the Kitchen, Devotion Leader, Prayer Warrior, and was very involved in all phases of the church.

He is survived by three sisters, Rose Danna of Tipton, Oklahoma, Kathy Danna of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Amanda Stevenson Isaac of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Michael Stevenson of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Travis Stevenson of Jacksonville, Florida; one uncle, Roosevelt Danna, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of  Lawton, Oklahoma; four nephews, Anthony Wilson, Joshua Danna, Trenton Smith, and Jackson Smith; three nieces, Brianna Smith, Jackie Wilson, and Alyia Smith; four cousins that was raised like brothers, Marcus Booker, Joe Booker, Danny Booker, and Teddy Booker;  and a host of other cousins, other family members, and many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Floraetta Danna; his father, Jackie Elwood Stevenson; one brother, Odell Stevenson; and one niece, Jacqueline Wilson.
