Evan Reese Gonzales was born on March 30, 2005, at Wichita Falls, Texas, to Amanda Rae (Newman) and David A. Gonzales.  He attended Frederick Public Schools, graduating from Frederick High School with the Class of 2024.  Evan served as a Storm Spotter for Tillman County Emergency Management; worked for Curt Akin at the Akin Ranch and served as a Voluntary Fireman for the Manitou Fire Department. He joined the Frederick Fire Department as a Firefighter, where his Papa served for 27 years; Evan was passionate about firefighting and ever since he was a little boy, his biggest dream was to become a firefighter just like him. He had a servant's heart and a passion for helping those in need. He lit up the room when he walked into it, always making sure to put a smile on everyone's face. Evan was known as a jokester to everyone who knew him. His passions were hunting, bronc riding, roping, storm spotting, but most of all, he lived for fighting fires with his brothers. He loved politics and was conservative in his values. He was an adrenaline junkie and always had the need for speed. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, friends, and his dog Roper.  Evan was so ecstatic to be a father to his baby girl.  He lived life to the absolute fullest.  Evan loved so many and was loved by so many more. His beautiful smile and laugh were contagious and will live on forever.

He is survived by his parents, Amanda and Dusty Blankenship of the home, and David and Mary Gonzales of Wichita Falls, Texas; his grandparents, Penny Newman of Frederick, Oklahoma and Raymond and Ruby Blankenship of Frederick, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dyson Blankenship and his wife Ravin of Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Owen Blankenship of the home; two sisters, Maggie Clemente and her husband Amado of Frederick, Oklahoma and Zoe Gonzales of the home and boyfriend, Marco Clemente; one niece, Hazelynn Blankenship; his aunts and uncles, Katie Newman of Frederick, Oklahoma, Justin and Mary Nell Blankenship of Frederick, Oklahoma, Robert and Cynthia Trevino of Irving, Texas, Erasmo and Betty Salazar of Belton, Texas, and Paul and Michelle Gonzales of Guyton, Georgia; his great-uncles and aunt, Keith Thomas of Frederick, Oklahoma, Tommy Cotten of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Hidy and Ron Abramson of Bozeman, Montana; and a host of cousins, other family members, and numerous friends.  And his daughter, Keelyn Gonzales, expected to arrive in December of 2024.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tracy Newman, Audelia Gonzales, and Ysabel Gonzales; his great-grandparents, Bob and Carol Griffith, Chevy and Nita Newman; an uncle, Ernest Gonzales, an aunt, Diolanda Moore; and a great-aunt, Sandie Cotten.
