Graveside service for George Frank Foster, age 90, of Chattanooga, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Chattanooga Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick. Mr. Foster passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at his home in Chattanooga.
Georg Frank Foster was born on June 29, 1931, in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Melvin Lee and Dosha Lorraine (Henderson) Foster. He attended several country schools in Cotton County before attending Apheatone. Frank was united in marriage to Barbara Sue Dismukes on November 10, 1967, in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Dallas Airmotive which later became Cooper Airmotive and then Aviall. He always started his morning with a cup of coffee. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and watching the grandkids play baseball. He also had a great time watching old western movies and all the "Judge" shows on television. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Grandfield, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; his children, Sandra Merrill and husband Kelly of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Diana Acre and husband David of Chattanooga, Oklahoma and Franklin Foster of Faxon, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Erikka Dismukes and Valerie Coleman; grandchildren, Andrew Cloud, Sarah Cloud, Dustin Acre and Dwight Acre and wife Ronja; great-grandchildren Lucas Cloud, Caleb Cloud, Dylan Acre, Delilah Acre and Ashlynn Acre; nieces, Sheila Seyfert, Tammy Hill, Sonja Daniels, Ramona Dismukes, Michaela Colson, Krista Vitense and Jeanie Cloud; nephews, Mike Teakell, Jason Dismukes, Robert Dismukes, Jerry Coleman and Marty Tate; a host of cousins, and a special friend, Betty Hudson.
HE was preceded in death by his parents; Lee and Dosha Foster, sister, Ruby Tate; two brothers who died in infancy, three grandsons, Devin Acre, James Cloud and Timothy Cloud; two nephews, Ronnie Teakell and Teddy Teakell.
