Funeral service for Frankie Jean Curtsinger, age 93, of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Frist Baptist Church in Chattanooga with Rev. Charles Kriss officiating. Burial will follow in the Faxon Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Curtsinger passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, in a Lawton nursing center.
Frankie Jean (Woodall) Curtsinger was born on November 24, 1924, in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to William Henry and Nellie Frances (Dykes) Woodall. She attended Faxon Public School. On July 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Jimmie "Chick" Curtsinger in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1992. Frankie enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, going to the senior citizens center and attending ballgames with family and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Frankie loved her Lord and read the Bible constantly.
She is survived by five children, Lahoma Cantrell and her husband Robert of Lawton, Oklahoma, Bessie Petty and her husband Don of Noble, Oklahoma, JoAnn Fischer and her husband Don of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, Jimmie Curtsinger and his wife Teresa of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Debbie Mefford of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Lagina Williams and her husband Tony, Mitzi Davey, Sheri Dupler and her husband Bryan, Lori Richmond and her husband Joe, Abby Jo Stover and her husband Ross, Clint Curtsinger, Casey Curtsinger, Megan Carothers and her husband Kyle and Mikayla Mefford; fourteen great-grandchildren, Jayna and Jaxon Grove, Kenzi and Kessa Davey, Tiffany Boyd, Haley Bingham, Jacob, Emily, Harlie and Jesse Dupler, Samantha Richmond, Joey, Reese and Easton Stover; two great-great-grandchildren, Trevor Boyd and Trey Bingham; special friends, Joyce McCary, and her Senior Citizens and Skip-Bo friends.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband; one son, Gerald Don Curtsinger; one sister, Ola B. Logue; and three brothers, Carl, Earl and Charlie Woodall.
