Funeral service for former Frederick resident, Gary Lynn Callaham, age 74, of Jacksboro, Texas will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 with at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Morey and Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Callaham passed away on Saturday morning, January 20, 2018 at his home in Jacksboro, Texas.

Gary Lynn Callaham was born on June 25, 1943 in Tipton to Frederick Sportsman and Bessie Loraine (Buckholt) Callaham. He attended Laing School, later transferring to Frederick High School. He served in the United State Navy. On April 21, 1978, he was united in marriage to Lynda Lynn Fillmore in Vernon, Texas. He served on the Frederick Fire Department for 20 years and retired as Fire Chief. He later worked for the Frederick Public Schools in the Maintenance Department. Gary enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, dirt biking and all sports. He was always in attendance at his kid's ballgames.

Gary is survived by his wife Lynda of the home; four sons, Jeff Tyler and his wife Vicki of Jacksboro, Texas, Eric Tyler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Terry Callaham of Portland, Oregon and Blake Callaham and his wife Laura of Blanchard, Oklahoma; two sisters, Brenda Stevens and Marthea Kuykendall both of Frederick, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Joshua Tyler, Jessica Tucker, Dakota Tyler, Cory Tyler, Micha Perkins, Kallee Fralix, Ashlee Floyd and Mason Callaham; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Fredna Yates.
