Glenda Lou Morton Lorah was born on December 30, 1942 in Frederick to C. C. "Buddy" and Edna (Loftis) Morton. She attended Frederick Public School and graduated with the Class of 1960. On September 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Robert R. Lorah in Frederick. Glenda spent 28 years in the Frederick Public School system as secretary for the Elementary and Middle School. She was a active member of the Frederick Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school for many years and had served as custodian. She was involved in the community through the Tillman County Historical Society, the Arts and Humanities Council, the Sew What Club and was a volunteer at the Senior Citizens where she delivered meals. Glenda was named Most Useful Citizen by the Frederick Lions Club in 2012. She was instrumental in beginning and maintaining the Weight Watcher group in Frederick for years. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and gave away or donated many pieces. She is survived by her husband Robert Lorah of the home; one son, Curtis Lorah and his wife Tomi of Elgin; one daughter, Renee Lorah Lovejoy and her husband Jimmy of Tipton; one sister, Mary Alice Kirk and her husband Greg of Livingston, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jed Allen Lovejoy and wife Shiloh, Krystin Amanda Lovejoy, Jacqueline Alyssa Lovejoy, Garrett Kerr Lorah, Brett Ryan Lorah, Tres Daniel Lorah and Drevon Kaywaykla; one great-grandson, Judah Britten Lovejoy and one due in January, 2015.
