Gloria Diaz was born March 12, 1941, in Yorktown, Texas to Lazaro and Maria (Sosa) Diaz. She attended Davidson Public School. On November 21, 1958, she was united in marriage to Mateo Rocha. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2014.
Gloria worked for Fryer Furniture, PJ's Furniture and Yellow Daisy Florist, and later worked for Peggy Wood at Pinky's Flowers. She enjoyed helping make flower arrangements, delivering flowers, and being around people.
Gloria's family was her pride and joy. She was a loving and caring mother; she saw that her children received their education, while dispensing the discipline that her children needed. Even after retirement she kept herself busy by making many beautiful arrangements; she had a knack for finding creative ways to involve her daughters in her "Do It Yourself" projects. She also enjoyed going to the casinos with her daughters and girlfriends.
She is survived by five daughters, Gloria Rodriguez of Davidson, Oklahoma, Sandi Pale and her husband Andres of Stratford, Texas, Hope Vera of Frederick, Oklahoma, Vicky Mulroney of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Delores Diaz of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Matthew Rocha of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Cruz Rocha of Salem, Oregon; one sister, Louise Vittetoe and her husband Larry of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Al Diaz of Frederick, Oklahoma, Dale Diaz of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Eniz Diaz of Corsicana, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
