Hazel Marie Agee's Obituary
Graveside service for former Frederick resident Hazel Marie Agee age 92, of Kingston, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Shane Kendrix officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick. Mrs. Agee passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Mercy Hospital in Ardmore.
Hazel Marie (Yerby) Agee was born March 28, 1926, in Faxon, Oklahoma to William and Martha (McClain) Yerby. At the age of 8 months old, her mother passed away; Hazel was later raised by her maternal grandparents, John and Elizabeth McClain. She attended Manitou Public School. On August 2, 1941, she and Cecil Barney Agee were united in marriage at Vernon, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1995. Hazel had previously worked for General Telephone Company in Frederick, Bell Helicopter, Betsy Bra and later Schlegel, Inc., where she retired. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. After the church disbanded, she attended First Baptist Church prior to her moving to Kingston.
She is survived by one son, Gary Agee and his wife Mary of Madill, Oklahoma; two daughters, Marsha Weldon and Tonya Agee both of Kingston, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Brian Agee and his wife Lisa, Tina Collins, Karla Houk and her husband Brandon, Kathy Beal, Jason Beal, Jamee Hill, Scott Mathews, Krystal McClaskey and her husband Matthew and Mercedes Torres; eighteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents; her husband; and one son, Roger Agee.
