Funeral service for Helen R. Davis, age 77, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2016 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in a Lawton hospital.

Helen Ruth Shoefstall Davis was born on March 29, 1939 in Burkburnett, Texas to William Edward and Cora (Whitehead) Shoefstall. She attended San Antonio Public Schools and graduated from Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio in 1957. On March 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to Kenneth James Davis in Grandfield, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2000. She had worked as supervisor for Haggar Slacks in Temple and Lawton as well as Supervisor at Kellwood Manufacturing in Frederick. Later she was Bookkeeper for Shan Transportation in Tipton. She and Kenneth owned and operate K-H Transportation in Frederick for many years. She also served as secretary for Frederick High School and then secretary for the superintendent before her retirement.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth James Davis, Jr. and his wife Patricia of The Colony, Texas, Kevin "Shorty" Davis and his wife Jeannie of Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Kyle Edward Davis and his wife Shanda of Altus; one daughter, Kathleen Davis and companion Lance Gould of Hartsel, Colorado; one brother, Tim Vernon and his wife Betty of Kingman, Arizona; one sister, Hope Ingle of McAlester; nine grandchildren, Shad Hannabas of Indiahoma, Shawna Tanner and husband Scott of Indiahoma, Kurtis Davis and wife Lynzi of Hurst, Texas, Kelsey Peter of Colorado Springs, Colorado, T. J. Peter of Hartsel, Colorado, Riley Davis & Seth Davis of Frederick and Trey and Garrett Pierce of Altus; two great-grandchildren, Kailee Tanner and Kale Tanner of Indiahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
