Memorial service for Hubert Roy Meadows, age 88, of Indiahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Indiahoma United Methodist Church with Daryl Perry and Pastor Les Bussell officiating. Mr. Meadows passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Ayers Nursing Center in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Hubert Roy Meadows was born on December 21, 1929 in Indiahoma, Oklahoma to William Clay and Willie Mae (Henderson) Meadows. He attended Indiahoma Public School and graduated from Indiahoma High School. Hubert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Elsie L. Williams in 1969 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Meadows had barbered in Oklahoma City prior to moving in 1964 to Cache where he owned and operated Meadows Barber Shop until he retired in 2017. He had barbered for 60 years. Hubert enjoyed fishing, woodworking, tinkering on small engines, traveling and spending his afternoons playing dominoes with friends. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Indiahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Meadows of the home; his children, Roy Meadows and wife Katrina of Newalla, Oklahoma, Genia Hammons of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michelle Cook of Indiahoma, Oklahoma, Robert Kinney and wife Glenda of Newalla, Oklahoma and Jimmy Rowland of Texas; two sisters, Janice Fain and husband Dale of Enid, Oklahoma and Elizabeth Hull of Orlando, Florida; seven grandchildren, Stephen Meadows and wife Misty, Paula Brinlee and husband Brian, Shayla Adamson and husband Glen, Alisha Allen and husband Billy, Morgan Hammons, Haley Cook and Kasey Cook; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eugene Williams; and one daughter, Carolyn Landers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiahoma United Methodist Church in memory of Hubert Meadows.
