Funeral service for Jackie Lynn Ney age 71, of Mountain Park, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, 921 West Gladstone Avenue, Frederick, Oklahoma, with Brandon Steed and Don Janz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery. Mr. Ney went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. A visitation will be Thursday evening, May 30, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Jackie Lynn Ney was born October 27, 1952, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Virgil and RaeNell (Woodward) Ney. He attended Mountain Park Public Schools, graduating from Mountain Park High School in 1970. He later attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. On December 23, 1971, he and Janet Clydene McPhail were united in marriage in Vernon, Texas. He owned and operated Ney's Service Station and later worked as an EMS in Mountain Park; while on a call he delivered his first baby, and the family named her Jaclyn in honor of him. In 1983, he received his license to preach, and later pastor at the First Baptist Church in Manitou, Oklahoma. Jackie later went on to officiate at all of his children's and grandchildren's weddings. He worked as a paramedic for Kirk's Ambulance in Lawton, and Jackson County EMS in Altus, where he became director of the department. He was later employed by Chicago Rawhide in Hobart, Oklahoma, where he retired. Jackie was former Mayor of Mountain Park and served on the Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Ney of the home; three sons, Eric Ney and his wife Nacole of Frederick, Oklahoma, Adam Ney of Mountain Park, Oklahoma and Collin Ney and his wife Christine of Lawton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Cierra Marie Ney, Brittany Corrales, Hunter Ney, Katelynn Ney, Jaxson Ricks, Carson Ney, and baby Ney due in July; four great-grandchildren, Keelynn Anderson, Grayson Corrales, Cayson Jack Corrales, and Trace Corrales; and one sister, Linday Ney of Mountain Park, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and RaeNell Ney; one son, Jason Ney; and two uncles, Orville Ney, and Glenn Ney.
