Obituary

Graveside service for Jacquita Ann Fillmore, age 85, of Davidson, Oklahoma will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Davidson Cemetery in Davidson, Oklahoma with Rev. Les Banks officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mrs. Fillmore passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Electra Memorial Hospital in Electra, Texas.

Jacquita Ann Fillmore was born April 5, 1936, in Davidson, Oklahoma to Ralph Lauren and Letha Mae (Dickerson) Peter.  She attended Davidson Public Schools, graduating from Davidson High School in 1954.  She later attended Cameron College and Mid-Western State College.  On September 3, 1955, she and Rodney Fillmore were united in marriage at Davidson.  She was the secretary for the Superintendent of Davidson Public Schools for several years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davidson where she served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, and pianist for many years.

Survivors include one son, Kim Allen Fillmore of Davidson; one daughter, Dana Renea Pierce and husband Jeff of Boerne, Texas; four grandchildren, Scott Fillmore and wife Rhonda of Electra, Texas, Misty Marsh and husband Cary of Electra, Texas, Kyla Fant and husband Winston of Plano, Texas and Brittany Sutton and husband Todd of Aurora, Colorado; six great-grandchildren, Preston Fant, Summer Fant, Eli Hagaman, Andrew Marsh, Alyssa Marsh, and Levi Fillmore; two step-great-grandchildren, Allyson McCormick and Wesley Howell; six step-great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon Lee Peter of Hawaii, Lila Jill Clark and husband Bill of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Vicki Jan McKinney and husband Tommy of Durant, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Micki Basinger of Vernon, Texas and Brenda Dugan and husband Bruce of Davidson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Letha Peter; her husband, Rodney; one son, Shane Scott Fillmore; and one daughter-in-law, Isla Fillmore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in memory of Jacquita Ann Fillmore.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday evening, April 8, 2021, from 5:oo to 7:00 p.m. and then on Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home in Frederick.
