Funeral service for James David "Smiley" Cloud age 31 of Chattanooga, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Derek McMurtry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chattanooga Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral of Frederick.  Mr. Cloud passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, in Chattanooga.

James David Cloud was born September 19, 1989, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William McKinley and Sandra Susan (Foster) Cloud.  He attended Chattanooga Public School, graduating from Chattanooga High School in 2009.  James was employeed as an operator assistant for the Tillman County Rural Water District 1; he previously had worked as a farmhand for many years.  His son Caleb was the apple of his eye, as well as his Papa his best friend.  His nickname was very befitting to him, he was always happy with a big smile on his face!

He is survived by his son, Caleb Cloud of Lawton, Oklahoma; his mother and step-father, Sandra and Kelly Merrill of Cheyenne, Wyoming; his grandparents, Frank and Barbara Foster of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; one brother, Andrew Cloud of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; one sister, Sarah Cloud of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; one aunt, Diana Acre and her husband David of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; one uncle, Franklin Foster of Faxon, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Jeanie Cloud of Lawton, Oklahoma; three nephews, Christopher Eaker, Michael Eaker, and Lucas McKinley Cloud; two cousins, Dustin Acre and Dwight Acre and his wife Ronja; and three second cousins, Ashlynn Acre, Dylan Acre and Delilah Acre.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Cloud; one brother, Timothy Cloud; and one cousin, Devin Acre.

Mr. Cloud may be be viewed on Wednesday, November 2, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home in Frederick.
