Funeral service for James L. Stoll, age 80, of Frederick will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Snider officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Stoll passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Frederick. James Lyndle Stoll was born on December 6, 1933 east of Manitou, Oklahoma to John Benjamin and Elizabeth Lucille (Angel) Stoll. He attended school at Manitou and graduated from Manitou High School in 1952. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James was united in marriage to Linnie Mae Tramel on September 3, 1954 in Manitou, Oklahoma. He farmed and ranched all his life as well as owning and operating a dairy farm. He had a love for drag racing. In 1978, 79 and 80, he won the Stock Eliminator Championship at the American Hot Rod Association Winternational in Tucson, Arizona. He was a Methodist. He is survived by his wife Linnie Stoll of the home; one son, Lyndle Stoll and his wife Debbie of Frederick; one daughter, LuAnne Smith and her husband Davie of Geary; one sister, Marilyn Thorp and her husband Eldon of Huntington Beach, California; five grandchildren, Johnelle Lamar and her husband Darren of Mountain View, Brandon Adler and his wife Jeni of Manitou, Jason Stoll of Frederick, Angelia Smith of Geary and J. D. Smith of Geary; seven great-grandchildren, Darra, Jaelie & Izabella Lamar, Colin Davis, Cameron, Catherine & Chloye Adler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Kenneth Stoll.
