A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 21, 2026, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma.
Lillian Jane "Janie" Gallagher went home to be with Our Lord and Savior on June 26th, 2026.
She was born on October 23, 1951, in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Ella Faye Bolles. Janie spent her childhood and school years in Eastland, Texas. By her 20’s she married a sailor and embraced the life as a Navy wife. After a few years in Chicago and San Diego, she settled in Maryland, where she planted deep roots and lovingly raised her two children.
In 1980, Janie began what would become a lifelong career with Mary Kay Cosmetics. More than a successful businesswoman, she was a mentor, leader, and source of inspiration to countless women. She found great joy in encouraging others to pursue their dreams. One of her proudest accomplishments was teaching before a ballroom in Dallas filled with fellow Mary Kay consultants, sharing her knowledge, passion, and faith in others.
Later in life, Janie spent several years in Capon Bridge, West Virginia, where she was a member of Capon Bridge Bible Fellowship. In 2012, she returned to her Oklahoma roots, where she cherished time spent with family and her close companion, Dave Woodall. Together they enjoyed scenic drives, holidays, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and creating treasured memories.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Bolles and Ella Faye Underwood; her beloved son, Kevin Gallagher; her grandchildren, Zackary Gallagher and Tayler Brown Dillon.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Shawna Brown (Eddie); her sister, Kim Moore; her brothers, Rickey Bolles and Larry Bolles (Rosie); four great grandchildren as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, family by choice members and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, laughter and caring spirit.
Janie's legacy is one of faith, determination, perseverance, encouragement, and unconditional love. She had a gift for making others believe in themselves, and the lives she influenced through her family, friendships, and career will continue to reflect her enduring impact.
