Funeral service for former Frederick resident Janie G. Delgado, age 79, of Lawton, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.  Mrs. Delgado passed away at her home in Lawton on January 31, 2022.

Janie G. Delgado was born on December 4, 1942, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Antonio "Tony" and Barnarda "Nina" (Cobos) Gonzales.  She attended Frederick Public Schools.  She was united in marriage to Manuel Reyes Delgado on March 18, 1957, in Frederick, Oklahoma. She worked as a seamstress for Betsy Bra, which later became Frybrant.  Her family was her life.  She loved spending time and visiting with her family.  She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  Janie was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana Baptist Church in Frederick.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandy Garza Hobbs of Mead, Oklahoma, Tammy Delgado of Wichita Falls, Texas and Stefanie Delgado of Lawton, Oklahoma; one sister, Rose Diaz and her husband Dale of Frederick; twelve grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded by her parents; Tony and Nina Gonzales; her husband, Manuel Delgado; one son, Jimmy Delgado; one daughter, Katie Miller; two brothers, Cecil and Louis Gonzales; and five sisters, Margaret Gaitan, Flora Rocha, Josephine Flores, Louise Garza and Mary Barbee.

Visitation will be on Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
