Funeral service for Jesse Ray Brown, age 77, of Frederick will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Brown passed away on Sunday May 6, 2018 in a Lawton hospital.

Jesse Ray Brown was born on January 13, 1941 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Joseph Soloman and Jessie May (Weaver) Brown. He attended Frederick Public Schools. Later he served in the United States Army. Jesse was united to Ruby Faye Parker on November 24, 1962 in Frederick. She preceded him in death in 2005.  Jesse was a concrete contractor and owned and operated Brown Construction for many years. He enjoyed being on the water whether in a boat, on skis or a jet ski. Jesse also loved fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles and four wheelers. He was an outdoorsman and reading his Bible was enjoyable to him. He was a member of the Pentecostal church.

Jesse is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Gallagher and her fiancé Brian Kincaid of Lawton, Oklahoma; four brothers, Nathan Brown and his wife Pat of Arlington, Texas, Bill Brown and his wife Nancy of Frederick, Oklahoma, Jerry Brown and his wife Shirley of Alberta, Alabama and Guy Brown and his wife Jane of Azle, Texas; one sister-in-law, Cristine Brown of Lawton, Oklahoma; a host of nieces, nephew and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Brown; five brothers, Henry, Harold, Matt, Soloman and Jack Brown; two sisters, Imogean Wiggs and Naomi Pritchett.
