Word has been received of the death of Jesse Gaskin, Jr., age 65, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mr. Gaskin passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home in Oklahoma City. There is no service planned.

Jesse Gaskin, Jr. was born on January 8, 1952 to Jesse and Irene (Bennet) Gaskin in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Jacksonville Public School where he graduated He later entered into the United States Air Force. After being discharged from the military, he attended Western Oklahoma State College where he received a degree in accounting. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Hill on June 12, 1987 in Tipton, Oklahoma. Jesse worked as an insurance agent for several years, before being employed by the State of Oklahoma as a master carpenter. He retired on March 20, 2016.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Gaskin of Tipton; two sons, Toreon Foster of Orlando, Florida and Martin Gaskin of Tipton, Oklahoma; two daughters, Tangie Miner of Ocala, Florida and Trista Gaskin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Leonard Gaskin and his wife Mercedes of O'Brien, Florida; two sisters, Florence Shankle and her husband Lemenen and Shirley Arrington of Gainesville, Florida; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
