Funeral service for former Frederick resident Jessie Mae Nelms age 88, of Tomball, Texas will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Marion Gion officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mrs. Nelms passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014, in Tomball. Jessie Mae (Atkins) Taylor Nelms was born February 18, 1926, in Frederick, Oklahoma to Fred Jackson and Eula Mae (Odom) Atkins. She attended Victory Consolidated #11 School southeast of Frederick. She was a homemaker and later worked as a clerk for Social Security Administration. She was united in marriage on February 27, 1948, to Lloyd Taylor. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1989. She later married Marlin Everett Nelms on May 22, 1990 and he preceded her on August 6, 2010. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by three daughters, Jan Crawford and her husband Doug of Tomball, Texas, Debbie Thornton and her husband John of Fort Worth, Texas and Trish McDonald and her husband Bob of Tomball, Texas; two stepsons, Morris Nelms and his wife Beverly and Mark Nelms all of San Marcos, Texas; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Lloyd Taylor and Everett Nelms; and two brothers, Fred Wendell Atkins and Donald Glen Atkins. Jackson Funeral Home 923 W.
