Funeral service for former Tipton resident, Jimmie Leo Boozer, age 76, of Arlington, Texas will be at 11:00 am, Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick with Rev. David Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick, Oklahoma. Mr. Boozer passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 in an Arlington, Texas hospital.

Jimmie Leo Boozer was born on September 9, 1942, in Tipton, Oklahoma to Leo Carter and Robie Ula (Conway) Boozer. He attended school at Laing Consolidated # 1 before transferring to Tipton High School where he graduated in 1960. Jimmie later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and then Southwestern State College in Weatherford where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He had worked as a Cost Accountant for various manufacturing companies. He was united in marriage to Brenda F. Randolph on December 30, 1990, in Arlington, Texas. Jimmie served as a reserve officer for the Arlington Police Department for many years. He had a passion for martial arts. While a reserve officer he received numerous awards for marksmanship. He was a member of the Lake Arlington Baptist Church.

Jimmie is survived by his wife Brenda of the home; one son, Brandon Boozer and his wife Gloria of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Kathi Hollifield and her husband Mickey and Stephani Myers and her husband Fred all Grand Prairie, Texas; and five grandchildren, Amanda Boozer, Elisa Boozer, Joshua Hollifield, Jacob Hollifield and Jordan Myers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Robie Boozer; and one brother, Gary Boozer.
